Need support with decision-making?

Choosing the right care option can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our team is here to answer your questions, discuss available options, and help you make informed decisions that best suit your loved one’s needs.

Choosing Custom Care & Accommodation for SIL

We don’t just provide support, we create genuine homes where participants feel safe, valued, and in control of their lives. Our approach is deeply personal, ensuring that every care plan is shaped around the unique needs, routines, and goals of the individual, not just a set of standard services.

We know that effective care doesn’t exist in isolation. That’s why we maintain open lines of communication, providing regular updates, structured care plans, and flexibility to adapt as participant needs evolve.

Tailored Support – Whether you’re looking for shared living or individualised support, we’ll match you with the right home and housemates.

Ongoing Communication – We prioritise open, honest communication with participants and their support networks at every stage.

FAQ

Who is eligible for SIL?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is designed for NDIS participants who need regular support with daily living tasks. This typically includes people with higher support needs who require help throughout the day, and sometimes overnight. SIL funding is included under Core Supports and must be specified in your NDIS plan.

How does Supported Independent Living (SIL) work?

SIL provides a supportive home environment where participants live independently with assistance from trained support workers. Support is available 24/7 (or as needed) and includes help with daily tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and community involvement, all while promoting independence and choice.

What is the difference between SIL and STA?

SIL is long-term support in a shared or individual living environment, focused on helping participants live more independently over time. STA, or respite, is short-term and usually accessed for up to 14 days, giving participants a temporary place to stay while carers take a break or while transitioning between homes.

Can I choose who I live with?

Yes. We know that compatibility is key to a happy home. We take time to understand your lifestyle, personality, preferences, and routines to ensure you’re matched with housemates who complement your needs. Where possible, we offer meet-and-greets before any final decision is made.

How do health professionals refer patients to your services?

Referrals can be made directly by support coordinators, GPs, case managers, or allied health professionals. Our intake team works closely with referrers to understand the participant’s goals, support needs, and preferences to ensure a smooth transition into services. Simply get in touch and we’ll guide the process.

How do you work with families and carers to keep them involved?

We prioritise open, ongoing communication with families, carers, and support coordinators. From the very beginning, we involve the participant’s network in planning, decision-making, and regular updates. Our goal is to build trust and ensure everyone feels informed, heard, and included in the journey.

How can I get in touch to learn more or discuss my needs?

We’re just a phone call or message away. Whether you’re a participant, family member, or professional, our friendly team is here to answer your questions and walk you through the next steps. Use our enquiry form, give us a call, or request a tour.

How do I get started with accessing support through you?

Simply reach out to us! We’ll schedule an initial consultation to understand your needs, review your NDIS plan, and discuss the best services for you. From there, we’ll support you through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and stress-free transition into care.
